On September 3, 2015, President Xi Jinping announced to the world the disarmament of 300,000 yuan from the top of Tiananmen Square, opening the way to a new round of military reform. Based on the idea of raising problems, analyzing problems, and solving problems, this paper studies the problems that still exist in the employment and entrepreneurship of retired servicemen under the new situation of the establishment of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the promulgation of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Protection of Veterans and its supporting facilities. A total of four deficiencies were proposed: first, the concentration of retired military personnel to change jobs is too concentrated; Second, the legal security system for the employment and entrepreneurship of retired servicemen has not been truly improved; Third, the employment and entrepreneurship training of retired servicemen has not really played a role and has been implemented; Fourth, the self-perception of retired soldiers is generally biased. In view of the above problems, this paper selects some typical cases of employment and entrepreneurship of retired soldiers, and draws on some relevant foreign systems and methods, combined with the current reality of China, and proposes four solutions. First, continue to promote the improvement of the legal system for employment and entrepreneurship protection of retired servicemen at the national level; The second is to do a good job in relevant training, actively guide retired servicemen to innovate and start businesses, and diversify the direction of resettlement; The third is to improve the employment security system for retired servicemen with five insurances and one housing fund as the main structure; The fourth is to actively guide retired officers and soldiers to change their sense of seeking stability and encourage more people to embark on the road of entrepreneurship.
