This study explores the impact of common institutional ownership on corporate green innovation from two perspectives based on Chinese listed companies. It is found that common institutional ownership can exert a supervisory synergy effect to significantly promote corporate green innovation. This paper enriches the factors influencing corporate green innovation from a corporate governance perspective, which has important practical implications for policy makers in guiding corporate green innovation and monitoring investor behavior.
