For 35 years already, a system for monitoring EMF exposure has been in operation in Poland. The system has been focussed primarily on the assessment of occupational exposure of the workers in plants and institutions using EMF-producing equipments, systems or installations, referred to as EMF sources. The system for monitoring of occupational EMF exposure is associated with human environmental protection. This paper presents the principles for the state system of protection against EMF and the project of the preparatory steps to be undertaken in association with Poland's accession to the European Union.
