Vehicle reliability is one of the important indicators for evaluating vehicle performance. Drivers or technicians often cannot detect or accurately determine the failure location and form in the early stage of vehicle component failure, which is very detrimental to the safety of vehicle users and the brand effect of production enterprises. Therefore, a set of automotive preventive fault detectors has been developed, which can be used on the complete vehicle and automotive component test benches. The detectors can monitor the status of various automotive components through sensors, evaluate and judge the vehicle status through software, and issue an alarm to the driver and test personnel when early failures may occur. Therefore, it can ensure the safety of vehicle users or test personnel, and is also beneficial for analyzing the initial status and cause of failure components. The equipment and testing method have been applied in the vehicle and component testing platform and the results indicate that the device can accurately determine the failure location and form in the early stage of component failure.
