Finite element modeling of the thermal analysis of the temperature field during Selective Laser Melting process, this paper simulates the distribution, which the temperature field at different power levels. The finite element model overcomes the problems of difficult in obtaining the material temperature field and temperature evolution during machining. The model uses boundary conditions in the machining area and material properties are more closely match the actual machining conditions. The Gaussian heat source load is solved by using a moving heat source and decomposing the whole process into several time steps to obtain the three-dimensional temperature field distribution, in order to research the point, that the process parameters effect on the temperature field.
