This paper studied the AGC active regulation performance optimization method of the long diversion pipe unit of Jiangya Hydropower Station, and putted forward an AGC active regulation performance optimization method. A parameter control strategy with variable regulation period is designed in pulse regulation mode. Large closed loop and small closed loop parameters are used to control the pulse width of LCU calculation, which solves the overshoot problem in the power regulation process. By adjusting the active power distribution strategy of the whole plant, the power regulation rate of small load difference is improved, and the change of AGC regulating parameter water head is automatically adapted. The AGC power regulation performance can be improved by optimizing the AGC power regulation parameters for different units and different water heads.
