Abstract
The basic techniques for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) in wireless environments are presented. After introducing the main properties of wireless channels, strategies to make use of the multipath propagations are explained. Different methods for channel estimation are described. After-wards, the use of forward error correction coding is motivated and different code classes are considered. Finally, multiple access schemes as well as the use of multiple antennas are discussed.
