A review of noiseless coding with side information is presented. An intuitive derivation of the main result for a pair of binary symmetric sources is given. The results are then applied to the case where there is one encoder broadcasting its output to two decoders, each of which have different side information. Finally some recently published papers by others on noisy source coding are reviewed.
