The aim of this study was to investigate the possibility of predicting how sporting events will end based on changes in bookmaker odds. Football was the sport chosen for observation of changes in bookmaker odds. The study involved 1116 sporting events. A number of different classifiers that predict the final result of a football match were developed. The results obtained, an effectiveness of 70%, are quite satisfactory and prove the existence of a relationship between changes in the bookmaker odds values and the outcome of the football match.
