In this article, recent work by the authors on the gravitational properties of light is reviewed. In the first part, the gravitational field of a laser pulse of finite lifetime is investigated in the framework of linearized gravity. In the second part, the dependence of the differential cross section for gravitational photon-photon scattering on the polarization entanglement between the photons is investigated in Perturbative Quantum Gravity. These investigations are of conceptual interest regarding the properties of light and its constituents, the photons.
