Abstract

Solving triangular systems with band structure is considered as one of the main issues in computational linear algebra. This study describes a new approach in order to improve the parallel performance of the resolution problem. The experiments are performed on a multicore machine using OpenMP interface. The analysis and evaluation indicate that the proposed method minimizes effectively the execution time in comparison of the related works.
