In this paper, the affective component of context analysis is commented regarding cognitive impairment issues. First, we argue the importance of the inclusion of affective computing in context analysis, particularly when cognitive impaired users are involved. After that, three assistive systems previously developed by the authors are described, and hence we propose affective-aware improvements that are likely to be implemented in order to improve the emotional management of the behavior issues that characterize these users. Finally, we describe a wearable system entirely focused on the assistance in the emotional self-regulation of people with autism spectrum disorders.
