Abstract

Several continuous computing technologies can be applied in order to mitigate the IT-related risks that cause business discontinuance. An IT-infrastructure in the form of an “always-on enterprise information system” must be able to meet the requirements for continuous or “24×7×365” computing – an operating platform that represents main prerequisite for business continuance. Paper explores the most common IT business risks and presents a model for implementation of several continuous computing technologies in order to mitigate the risks and enhance business continuity.
