Rinkai Oimachi station was constructed by excavatingconnecting between shaftshield tunnel underground. 2D and 3D FEM were carried to evaluate the deformation and member forces during construction. As a result, following conclusions were obtained. 1) Linear elastic FEM using the deformation modulus of PS/2 showed acceptable result. 2) Nonlinear elasto-plastic FEM did not show better result than linear elastic case. 3) Practical procedure to improve the accuracy of linear elastic analysis considering ground strain level was proposed.
