This paper aims to develop, demonstrate and justify a quantitative method that identifies the best kind and optimal level of postponement that should be adopted in an Aerospace Company to promote production cost reduction, improving customer service, offering short times of delivery and increasing the overall program profit. This method also intends to determine the best time to make the main decisions during the product development project.
