Lisbon elementary public schools serve a population of 15800 children, with ages ranging from six to nine years old. The existing building stock was built, on average, 50 years ago. This is even more worrying because, in many cases, the original buildings have not been submitted to any relevant maintenance practices or renovations. This paper reports the results of the follow-up study that began in 2007 to collect information on the actual condition of these public schools.
