Using the 3D FEM, it is possible now to study ECT problem quite accurately but it requires expertise from the user. In fact, the values of interest are of the same order as the numerical noise, so the quality of the mesh has a significant influence on the modelling result. In this paper we study different kinds of error estimators and refinement adapted to the studied refinements strategy in ECT.
