In the nursing process patients are understood holistically, based on a knowledge system unique to nursing, and patient problems are resolved systematically and logically. However, because problems in the patient are assumed, the focus in psychiatric nursing tends to shift toward the impaired aspect or problem rather than the healthy aspects that we want to focus on. Therefore, in 2006, with the aim of resolving this issue, we introduced the Computer Assisted System for Nursing Process Learning (CASYSNUPL), which was developed at our university, into the nursing process education for psychiatric nursing.
