We conducted a cross-sectional study to investigate factors associated with the use of assistive technologies for toileting, transferring, and bathing among family caregivers of community-dwelling older adults with dementia. We used questionnaire websites to target people throughout Japan in March 2023. As a result, younger age and high frequency of use of social media were positively associated with the use of assistive technologies. These findings suggest that targeted interventions by policymakers and healthcare professionals could increase the uptake of assistive technologies by focusing on caregivers with these characteristics.
