

Purpose/significance:
As a new gender perspective to study social visual culture, female gaze is receiving increasing attention. The purpose of this paper is to comprehensively summarize the current situation of female gaze research in Chinese academic circles, and to explore the changes of female visual perception supported by AI technology, so as to provide reference for the study of gendered visual communication.
Design/Methodology:
This paper uses Citespace software to sort out the current situation, research paradigm, frontier topics and research trends of Chinese women ’s gaze research, and presents a visual knowledge map.
Results:
Domestic female gaze research has achieved remarkable results in the field of humanities and arts, and interdisciplinary cooperation has become a trend. However, the convergence of research directions makes some research paradigms have potential limitations. With the change of social culture, the concept of female gaze is also expanding and deepening.
Conclusion:
In the era of AI intelligence, the upgrading of multimedia technology not only enriches the visual connotation of female gaze, but also promotes the new development of visual culture. In the future, female gaze research will show a broader prospect and far-reaching impact, especially in the use of AI technology to promote gender equality and cultural diversity.
