This paper introduces “Legal-Emotional BATNA,” an AI chatbot that integrates legal and emotional aspects of divorce, guiding users toward balanced solutions. The chatbot provides legal advice on child support, spousal support, property division, pension splitting, and compensation for emotional distress, using algorithms and legal precedents. Additionally, it prompts users to reflect on their emotional state, fostering a more holistic approach to resolving divorce issues. The research evaluates the chatbot’s performance through user surveys and explores its potential for societal implementation in Japan, offering early-stage legal guidance and bridging users to professional legal services.
