goes here. In recent years, AR technology has been developing rapidly in manufacturing assembly, which provides innovative technology support for the assembly process of complex products. AR assembly instructions are a method to help users perform manual assembly by superimposing virtual information in the real environment. There have been several studies on visual assets adapted for AR instructions, and the visual assets have also been categorized into clearer categories. However, current studies on AR instructions focus more on the comparison between traditional assembly instructions and AR assembly instructions, failing to consider the information cognitive differences that occur when users are faced with different assembly instruction visual assets. Therefore, this study takes the assembly of computer numerical control (CNC) devices as an example, analyzes the assembly process information involved in the assembly work process in detail, breaks down the action steps, and creates the corresponding visual assets. The designed visual assets are tested for assembly efficiency and usability, and the design strategy priorities of different AR visual assets under different assembly process information are deduced to help standardize the design of AR assembly instructions, providing a theoretical and practical research foundation for the design of related AR assembly instructions.
