In today’s fast paced society, more and more people are beginning to need psychotherapy. And art healing, as a mental health treatment, provides a very beneficial way to help people deal with these problems. However, due to cost and time constraints, many people find it difficult to turn to doctors after having emotional or psychological problems, so healing apps are gradually appearing in people’s view. Mandala Painting Therapy is a psychotherapeutic method using painting as a medium to help people relieve stress, anxiety and emotional distress through painting and color. Extracting elements from mandala painting and combining them with UI design in healing APPs can enhance the uniqueness, aesthetic value and user experience of the interface, while providing users with a meditative and relaxing experience. This combination can help APPs stand out in the market and attract users’ attention and love. Therefore, this paper will use the literature analysis method to analyze the origin of mandala and the principle and mechanism of mandala painting therapy, so as to explore the design strategy of mandala painting applied to healing apps in order to improve the healing effect of healing apps.
