The concept of color empowerment is a recent study that combines color with architecture, industry, and product design. The concept of color empowerment emphasizes the influence of color on the physiological and psychological aspects of people’s existence, and strengthening the design of color empowerment can help hospital inpatient wards to sort out their functions, explore the potential functions of color, and explore the positive impact of color on the hospital inpatient environment. By analyzing representative and positive hospital designs with case studies, we can extract the color characteristics, combine color with the needs of hospital users, find more functions brought by color, create a good medical environment, relieve patients’ psychological stress and enhance the body’s ability to resist disease, and help patients recover as soon as possible. In practice, it is necessary to combine the actual situation and clarify the main points and attention to the application of color in the interior design of medical buildings, so as to lay a solid foundation for the subsequent work and improve the effect and level of ward design.
