Smart kitchen research is a manifestation of the adaptation of the kitchen living scene to technological development in the era of digital intelligence, involving numerous fields, including design integration innovation, intelligent trends, and service transformation. A timely overview of the existing knowledge achievements and research networks in kitchen research, and an overall grasp of research hot spots and development dynamics, can provide new ideas and references for future related research. A knowledge mapping analysis of the current state of development in the field of smart kitchens was conducted from both domestic and foreign perspectives, using the literature included in Web of Science and China Knowledge Network as a sample, and visualizing the scale of development, authors, institutions, research hotspots and research trends in smart kitchens with the help of metrics software such as CiteSpace 6.1.R3. It was found that: domestic research concerns related to smart kitchens The study found that while domestic research focuses on the connotations, design research and design strategies of smart kitchens, foreign research focuses more on the technical practices of smart kitchens. This was followed by a summary of four research trends: innovative design research on smart kitchens, kitchen user research in the context of big data thinking, kitchen appliance interconnection in the era of digital intelligence, and kitchen ecology based on online cloud platforms.
