Under the social background of digitalization and intelligent development, my country’s coal mining is rapidly moving from mechanization and automation to intelligence. The development goal of intelligent and less-manned coal mines has become an industry consensus. The less-manned coal mine first realized the less-manned and unmanned fully mechanized mining technology, and led to a significant increase in the intelligence of supporting excavation, support, transportation and other production processes. Among them, the maximum monthly footage of rapid excavation has exceeded 3,000 m. In order to adapt to the needs of less-manned and intelligent mines, underground production preparation and production services in coal mines need to be equipped with various auxiliary operating machinery and equipment for coal mining and excavation to ensure smooth production continuation. Currently, among the 2.3 million coal mining workers in the country, more than 60% work in dangerous and physically demanding positions such as coal mining, tunnel excavation, transportation, and safety control. The coal mining industry is currently the most urgently in need of robot replacements in high-risk industries.
