This article presents the results of the authors’ research, which will contribute to improving the methods and methods of building roadways with coatings made of cast asphalt concrete mixtures with an increase in the quality of asphalt concrete mixtures without increasing the cost. The authors have proposed a mathematical model that allows us to establish the requirements for the shear stability of coatings made of cast asphalt concrete mixture, depending on the transport load and climatic conditions of the construction area. The article presents research data on the cooling of cast asphalt concrete mixtures, which in turn makes it possible to ensure the proper quality of laying such coatings at subzero air temperatures. As a result of experimental studies, optimal compositions of mixtures of cast asphalt concrete with the addition of asphalt granulate, plasticizing additive “Sasobit” were determined, which made it possible to ensure the shear stability of mixtures of cast asphalt concrete, to ensure the required properties of asphalt concrete mixtures within the regulatory requirements for fatigue properties and abrasion parameters of such coatings. The dependences of the influence of asphalt granulate on the transport and performance characteristics of cast asphalt concrete coatings on a polymer-bitumen binder have also been established.
