To optimize the modeling design in art building modeling, this paper proposes a scheme of applying interactive genetic algorithm(GA) to architectural modeling innovation. Firstly, the principle of traditional GA and its improvement scheme are discussed, and the basic process of applying interactive IGA to architectural modeling design is provided. Aiming at the fatigue defect of users in the evaluation quantity, the constraint condition is added to the fitness function to speed up the convergence speed of the algorithm, and the specific implementation scheme is also described. Finally, the optimization process of the structural optimization design program is tested through a three-storey and three-span art building frame designing example. The analysis results show that our method to the innovative design of artistic architectural modeling has the advantages of simple design principle and short calculation time, and it constructs a multi-disciplinary collaborative reference platform in architecture design.
