This article introduces a new antenna design and analysis that operates at a frequency of 13.49 GHz. The antenna is specifically created to meet the increasing demand for high-performance communication systems, and wireless sensing and imaging within the 13.49 GHz frequency range. The design process involves careful consideration of important parameters, including antenna size, gain, directivity, impedance matching, and radiation pattern. The proposed antenna exhibits outstanding performance characteristics, such as improved gain, enhanced beamwidth, and efficient signal transmission and reception. Thorough simulations and measurements are conducted to evaluate the antenna’s performance metrics, confirming its suitability for various applications within the 13.49 GHz frequency band. The design and simulation of the antenna are done through CST Studio Suite software. The antenna design contains a slot in the patch and its performance has been tested through its reflection coefficient, VSWR, and far-field.
