Disabled individuals are those born with disabilities or transform into due to unfortunate events. To assist the disabled individuals for preparing them for normal life or even to getting ready for return-to-work (rtw), intervention and rehabilitation programs are critical. Unfortunately, these medically structured programs require prolonged, continuous and intensive recovery activities that can be time-consuming, difficult, costly and boring. Hence, the intervention and rehabilitation programs tend to be not well-received by many patients. Innovative home-based and community-based rehabilitation programs should be studied as to engage patients continuing their treatment for better success. Three community- based rehabilitation centers in Selangor, Malaysia were studied; the goal is to investigate the objectivity of improving one of the current rehabilitation programs i.e. music therapy session with game-based activities. Data showed that by injecting the element of games into its music therapy, the sessions provide more engagement and encouraged patients to challenge their physical and mental abilities.
