The parameters and rules of steady-state scanning of terminal-sensitive projectile (TSP) are constant, and so for different target parameters, missed scanning or failure to identify the targets may happen. This study proposes a method of adaptive adjustment of scanning angle based on double parameters of the target, namely, speed and length. A relational model of the target of TSP was built. Then the initial scanning angle and the scanning angle at steady-state scanning are determined using MATLAB. Simulation results show that our method achieves a fast adjustment of the scanning angle with an increase in the scanning efficiency. Using this method, TSP can timely identify the targets. Our findings provide theoretical basis and data for the design of TSP.
