Well-coordinated development is assumed to not only produce software faster, but also to produce software of higher quality and at lower cost. Development of indicators for each coordination processes and strategies will lead to coordination effectiveness. The aim of this study is to formulate an Evaluation Model to Assess the Effectiveness of Coordination Processes in Global Software Development (GSD) Projects which consist of coordination processes, coordination strategies, indicators related to the identified coordination processes and coordination strategies in GSD-base software development organizations. This model formulation consist of four processes namely indicators consolidation, indicators validation, indicators description, and indicators categorization. Generally, this model will be a guideline for project managers to assess the coordination processes effectively between collocated and distributed team in GSD environment. By using this proposed model, project managers could assess and manage the coordination processes and the coordination strategies more effectively in GSD projects.
