Earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, tsunamis and other emergency situations have demanded a special logistic treatment named Humanitarian Logistics, has currently been studied in several countries around the world. The goal of this article is to compare the performance measurement in the humanitarian supply chain to the traditional performance measurement in the commercial supply chain, to develop performance indicators in the humanitarian supply chain and present a structure that can be used as a basis for the development of a performance measurement system for the humanitarian logistics.
