In this paper we report the findings from a CATI-based survey that involved a representative sample of General Practitioners in Italy. Respondents were asked about their use of ICT in keeping in touch with their patients; their adoption and actual use of their Electronic Patient Record (EPR); and, more importantly, their perception of usefulness of a series of novel functionalities that could enrich the next generation of EPR in general practice.
