In this contribution a computerized feedback system is described that provides GP's feedback about the adequateness of their test requesting behaviour. This system is developed in the framework of the AIM-programme OPENLABS. The requests are stored in a database that is part of the laboratory decision support system. The other part of the decision support system, an expert system, retrieves the request data (including patient data) from the database, screens the requests for adequateness and provides feedback when necessary.
