The paradigm about providing service of health care will change in the future. This change happens based on development and needs of health condition where everyone has a right for a health care. One of the examples is the changes of services that focus on health care unit (UPK) centric to patient centric. Patient centric is individual that had the right to set and guarantee their own health. The role of UPK is as a managing facilitator for the entire health data owned by individual. Research in the domain of health becomes one of special attention considering that health is one of the cornerstones of any country's efforts to build a society that is more productive.
Research topics of smart city can be identified in several dimensions. These dimensions are: smart environment, smart transportation, smart home, smart education, smart energy, smart government and smart health. One of the smart city components discussed in this paper is smart health for the elderly. The focus of health care for elderly becomes a special attention for researcher, starting from how to provide preventive facilities (preventive), how to provide treatment (curative) and how to provide monitoring (assistive) of elderly people. Smart Health is a health care service for treatment and provision of health services for the public by using mobile technology. The main purpose is to develop technology in a health domain to serve users as a centralized service.
